Cancer for College General Scholarship

  • Must be a current or former cancer patient.
  • Must be planning to attend an accredited four-year university, community college, or graduate school as a full-time student.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

The Scholarship

Eligibility: This scholarship is based on positive impact, strength in adversity, academic excellence and financial need

  • Applicants must have battled cancer at one point in their life as well as those who have a parent, sibling, immediate family member that has battled or is currently in the battle against cancer.
  • Must be enrolled full time at an accredited university, community college, junior college, or graduation degree program.
  • Essay and letters of recommendation required.

Get Educated Online College Scholarship Program
Deadline: October 15 & March 15

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited online university degree program located in the USA
  • This scholarship requires a 500-word essay: “What an Online College Degree Means to Me
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

The Online College Scholarship
Deadline: July 31 & November  30 – $1000

  • Must be enrolled in a 100% online degree program or taking at least 80% of their courses online. Part-time or full time applies
  • Must be 18 years or older and have minimum GPA of 3.0

DAR American Indian Scholarship
Deadline: February 14

  • Applicants should demonstrate Financial need
  • Must provide proof of American Indian heritage – American Indians of any age, tribe, and in any state pursuing an education at undergraduate or graduate level
  • Must have a minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.25

Undergraduate Distance Learning Degrees Academic Scholarships
Deadline: April 1

  • Must be pursuing degree through a distance program and be enrolled (or accepted) in an accredited college or university and planning on continuing the next year.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 semesters or 45 quarter hours still to be completed
  • Must consent to provide a digital photograph of self and quote for display on if notified as the award winner by the selection committee
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident
  • Scholarship selection is based on academic history and extracurricular activities

The Simmons and Fletcher, P.C., Christian Studies Scholarship
Deadline: July 1

  • Must be enrolled in or accepted and plan to attend a Christian college or university for undergraduate studies in the fall of the scholarship year
  • Must be a participant in volunteer or community work
  • Must submit a completed application and a required essay
  • Must not have received same scholarship in previous year.
  • Must also be a lawful U.S. permanent resident or U.S. citizen

Anvet Law 2020 National Scholarship
Deadline: July 15 – $1,000

  • Accepted or currently enrolled in college, university, graduate program within USA
  • Student is to demonstrate a spirit of volunteerism and/or community service
  • Letter of recommendation and essay required
  • US citizen or permanent resident

Trey Porter Law Scholarship
Deadline: March 31

  • Small essay required
  • Attend Canadian or American University/College
  • Any year of study
  • Any citizenship allowed

The Ashoori Law Good Deeds Scholarship
Deadline: December 1 – $1,000

  • You have performed an act of kindness for another person (this can be a single act or a history of ongoing kindness)
  • Enrolled or accepted accredited US undergraduate or graduate program
  • 750-1000 word essay introducing yourself, explaining act of kindness, the impact it has had and how it has shaped you
  • Must be a US citizen

Nitro College Scholarship Application

  • A current student in an accredited college located in the USA or a high school senior who is going to attend an accredited college in the USA
  • 17 or older
  • For legal residents of the USA

Banafshe Law Firm Scholarship
Deadline: July 31

  • Currently attending or planning on attending first year of college of graduate school
  • Overcome a challenge in life, performed community service
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Brief essay required
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident

LULAC National Scholarship Fund
Deadline: March 31

The applicant must reside in a US state where there is a participating LULAC council. For this information visit:

  1. National Scholastic Achievement Awards ($2,000)
    • GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, and if the student is an entering freshman, 29 or higher on the ACT test, or 1350 or higher on the SAT test.
  2. Honors Awards ($500 to $2,000)
    • GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, and if the student is an entering freshman, 23 or higher on the ACT test, or 1100 or higher on the SAT test.
  3. General Awards ($250 to $1,000)
    • Grades and academic performance will serve as indicators of potential; however, an emphasis may be placed on the individual’s motivation, sincerity, and community involvement.

Macy’s Emergency Scholarship Fund
Deadline: Apply in time of need

  • Must be enrolled full time
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Emergency financial need from: change in family income/support, loss of job, death of an immediate family member, natural disaster, pending eviction or home foreclosure, burglary, fire. Essay of this need is required.
  • Cannot receive other LNESC scholarships
  • Must be a resident of California, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, or Texas

IvyPanda Video Contest Scholarship for Creative Students
Deadline: June 15th

  • Must submit original video of: Money- Managing Tips for Students, Socializing in College, How to Enhance Your Studying with the Use of Digital Age Tools. Video must be in English only.
  • Current high school, college, or university students from any country

Because College is Expensive Scholarship
Deadline: March 31

  • Enrolled or planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate studies in the next two years
