Dr. Paul Akin was appointed Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Administration of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in June 2022. He also serves as Associate Professor of Christian Missions. Prior to coming to SBTS, Dr. Akin worked for the International Mission Board as Team Leader for New Missionary Sending. Dr. Akin is a member at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He is married to Kari, and they have four children.
