Applied Theology

The Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Educational Ministry in Applied Theology is designed to focus on theological issues as they relate to the church. Seminars will focus on ecclesiology, historical theology as it relates to the church, and practical theology and application.

This concentration is offered in both residential and online formats.

Program of Study

This program of study is offered as a 32 Hour D.Min. degree.

Course curriculum includes:

  • Project Methodology (1 hour)
  • Intro to Doctoral Research & Writing (1 hour)
  • Four Foundational Seminars (16 hours)
    • Ecclesiology
    • Biblical Theology in the Local Church
    • Historical Theology in the Local Church
    • Practical Theology in the Local Church
  • Contextualized Writing Seminars (8 hours)
  • Ministry Research Project or Thesis (6 hours)

This program of study is also offered as a 46 Hour D.Ed.Min. degree.

Course curriculum includes:

  • Project Methodology (1 hour)

  • Four Foundational Seminars (16 hours)
    • Ecclesiology
    • Biblical Theology in the Local Church

    • Applied Empirical Research
