Boyce College is hiring to its faculty worship leader and music teacher Kha Do, the school announced today. Do joins the faculty in an official capacity after serving as an adjunct professor for nearly two years and overseeing a number of music projects at Boyce College, including band leadership and album production.
Do will be Assistant Professor of Music and Worship and the department coordinator for the worship program at Boyce College. In this role, Do will give general oversight to all Boyce ensembles, directly lead the Dorm Meeting Band, and co-lead the Boyce College Choir.
“I am confident that Kha Do will provide just the right leadership for the church music and worship program at Boyce College to move into the future, preparing young Christians for ministry and all Christians for worship,” said R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, of which Boyce is the undergraduate arm. “Our program is biblical, theological, musical, and supremely doxological. I am very thankful to God for Kha Do and look forward to great days ahead.”
Boyce College dean Dustin Bruce, who was installed as the school’s dean in June, said the hiring of a leader for the school’s worship program was his first concern, and he believes Do’s broad experience in church music and worship makes him an excellent fit for the school’s mission.
“I quickly recognized that Kha Do is the person we need to provide vision and oversight to our worship program,” Bruce said. “Kha is not only musically gifted, but theologically adept as well. I am confident that our current and future worship students will find him a compelling teacher and faithful mentor.”
In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Do has also overseen various album productions, including two Norton Hall Band EPs, Crown Him (2018) and My Hope and Stay (2016), along with this year’s Dorm Meeting Live album.
Do earned his bachelor of science in Christian Ministries: Music from Arizona Christian University (2012) and his Master of Divinity in Worship Leadership from Southern Seminary (2018). He is also currently working toward his doctor of philosophy degree in Christian Worship from Southern Seminary. Do has also been an online teaching assistant for Southern Seminary since January 2019.
His hire to the Boyce College faculty will extend the school’s excellent reputation for developing worship leaders who are sound — musically and theologically.

Do said he is excited about the prospect of continuing the rich heritage that professors and leaders at Boyce College have established.
