The Pastoral Workshop is an opportunity designed for men serving as pastors and ministry leaders regularly, helping people progress from knowing truth to trusting Christ. It will be held March 22-24, 2027.
This workshop offers you a unique opportunity to hear lectures from our plenary sessions and cohort discussions led by our faculty, including Dr. Timothy Paul Jones, Dr. Andrew Walker, Dr. Jason Thacker, and Dr. Brad Green. This workshop combines ministry training with a retreat pace so that you leave better equipped and more refreshed, ready to lead and serve in your context more effectively.
Workshop participants will receive complimentary lodging and all meals for $800. Meals include mentoring sessions with faculty members and networking with fellow ministry leaders.
The workshop is not available to residential students at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
What is The Pastoral Worldview Workshop?
A limited attendance workshop for men who serve in pastoral roles, led by Southern Seminary faculty, designed to help them sharpen their skills and strengthen relationships at a retreat pace.
The Workshop includes:
- Plenary lectures and cohort discussions led by our faculty, including Dr. Timothy Paul Jones, Dr. Andrew Walker, Dr. Jason Thacker, and Dr. Brad Green.
- Extensive time of discussion relating to ministry with fellow leaders.
- Shared meals with fellow attendees and Southern Seminary faculty.

Already a Southern student? Earn Course Credit while Attending The Pastoral Worldview Workshop
Professional Doctoral Students:
- D.Min. students may receive 4 hours of seminar credit for attending the workshop and completing additional coursework. Specific course to be announced.
- Standard course tuition will be added to the total cost, in addition to the cost of the workshop.
- D.Min. students enrolled in the seminar will receive three nights of hotel lodging and meals provided. Any additional nights will be at the student’s expense.
Course registration closes March 1, 2027.
Master’s Students:
- Current master’s students may receive 3 hours of credit for attending the workshop and completing additional work. Specific course to be announced.
- Standard course tuition will be added to the total cost, in addition to the cost of the workshop.
- Master’s students enrolled in the course will receive three nights of hotel lodging and meals provided. Any additional nights will be at the student’s expense.
