We are pleased to offer a full schedule of Seminary Wives Institute classes for the fall semester of 2020. Classes are scheduled to start on Wednesday AM, August 19 (AM Discipleship only) and Thursday PM, August 20 for everything else.
It has been decided that all SWI Fall 2020 classes will be offered as remote residential courses instead of in person on campus. We fully intend to return to the classroom just as soon as possible. Currently registered students received an email with further details about this news on July 20, 2020 and it can also be found on each Canvas class page.
Please read the new documents posted below. While our goals and required curriculum remain unchanged since 1997, we are adapting our format by offering SWI Online for distance students who have been asking for this for a very long time.
Registration will open on May 8. New students should look for an application here on our webpage by that date. Returning students should go to my.sbts.edu and register there using the same sign in credentials used on Canvas.
Here is the updated schedule. Note the fees are changing slightly but SWI remains extremely affordable due to sacrificial commitments of our volunteer faculty.
We are only publishing 2020-21 at this time: SWI Class Schedule (PDF)
Here are detailed course descriptions about each class. We purposefully post these before registration opens. We want you to read them so you know more than just a two word title of a class. Please take the time to read this carefully: SWI Course Descriptions
Here is an explanation of what asynchronous courses will be like for Seminary Wives Institute students who cannot be with us in person: SWI Asynchronous Courses (PDF)
Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions that should clear up lots of issues. They have not actually been asked yet but we anticipate they will be: Frequently Asked Questions List (PDF)
You should bookmark this page and return to it often. Other documents posted here remain helpful:
We regret that child care will not be available for the fall semester.
Please note that the $100 student fee for testing and health services will NOT be charged to SWI students. They will be tested for COVID-19 but no fee will be charged.
