2022-2023 Academic Year

Hybrid Modular Courses

Hybrid courses at Southern are a blending of the curriculum in both online and on-campus formats. Students will complete the course work online as well as attend a two-day on-campus experience. During the two-day hybrid on-campus sessions, students will have the opportunity to interact with their professor and their classmates while also enjoying Southern’s beautiful campus.

Check this Online Learning Courses page to see the current hybrid modular courses.  Check this Academic Records page for semester registration and start dates. The schedule for online learning courses varies slightly from the SBTS schedule, e.g., start/end dates; add/drop dates, etc. Refer to the following 8-Week Terms link for more information, especially the two sub-terms in the fall and spring semesters.

Always confirm the hybrid modular on-campus meeting dates in the  Southern/Boyce Class Schedule Portal or MySBTS; the hybrid course schedule is subject to change and Southern Seminary reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment.

Students are required to attend in-person portion of the course on the weekend stated on MySBTS. If a student is not able to attend then they must sign up for the online version of the course. Only in extreme last minute emergency situations will this policy be granted an exception. The student must contact the professor and work out any details in this case.
