Obtain a valuable ministry and marketplace degree through a transfer agreement with Southern Seminary and Union University.

Students who desire training for the church and the marketplace can earn their Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary, and a Master of Business Administration from Union University in an accelerated time frame.

How it works:


  • Students will pursue each degree separately.
  • The agreement allows transfer credit between Southern Seminary’s M.Div. program and Union University’s MBA program.
  • Union University will accept 6 hours of transfer credit from SBTS into the MBA.
  • SBTS will accept 12 hours of transfer credit from Union into the M.Div.

Criteria:

  • Students must apply and be admitted to each school separately.
  • Tuition rates will be according to each institution’s published rates.
  • Students must meet all graduation policies and requirements of each degree from the respective institution.

Students with an accredited bachelor’s degree (in any field/major) are eligible to apply for the M.Div. program at Southern Seminary. It is not required that applicants have an academic background in biblical or ministry studies.

For information or questions related to admissions to Union University’s MBA program, please contact Union.

Yes. Both the Master of Divinity and the MBA at Union University can be completed fully online.

Southern Seminary will accept 12 hours of MBA transfer credit into the M.Div. utilizing unrestricted electives.

This agreement between Southern Seminary and Union University means that students can obtain both degrees for 18 fewer credit hours than if each program were pursued separately.

This also equates to thousands of dollars in tuition savings vs. completing the M.Div. and MBA separately.
