Dr. Whitney is Associate Dean of the School of Theology and Professor of Biblical Spirituality. Whitney came to Southern from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was associate professor of spiritual formation for 10 years. He also served in pastoral ministry for 24 years. Dr. Whitney is married to Caffy, and they have one child. Dr. Whitney is a member of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
