Women of the Word is a 10-week mentorship program for female Southern students and student wives who are aspiring to serve the church. The goal is to see a living model of how to conduct a Bible study with expositional and relational skill that will serve ladies well in ministry.
Teacher: Mrs. Cindy Martin
Cindy is originally from Midland, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Texas A&M University. She has served in ministry alongside her husband, Oren, for 20 years, and 15 of those years have been spent here in Louisville. She homeschools her three sweet kids, Jonathan, Anna, and Benjamin. She enjoys studying her Bible, spending time with her family, serving with her brothers and sisters at Clifton Baptist Church, working with the ladies at Scarlet Hope Ministries, reading, and exercising.
Details: Women of the Word will meet weekly on Friday mornings from 8:30-10:00 AM starting August 23 and continuing through November 8 (we will not meet the Friday of Fall Festival or the Friday of fall break). All classes will be held on Southern’s campus and light breakfast refreshments will be provided. Additional details will be emailed to participants closer to the first class.
