How do I get my box number?

Box numbers and combinations are given out at student orientation during the check-in process. If you need to mail packages to yourself before a box has been assigned, give us a call at (502) 897-4212 or email mailingservices@sbts.edu and we can help you. For the privacy of our residents, we only give out box numbers to the student who is renting the box, so once you receive your box number, make sure anyone who will send you mail knows your box number as well.

How far in advance can I send packages to myself before I move in?

Students may begin shipping packages to the mail center two weeks before classes start. Before mailing any packages to yourself, give us a call at (502) 897-4212 for your box number. We will process your package and have it ready for you to pick up when you arrive on campus.

Will I be notified once a package arrives for me?

Mailing Services’ internal tracking system (Pitney Bowes) will send an e-mail notification to the student’s SBTS e-mail address that we have processed your package. Please read your email message; during busy periods we may ask you to wait 2 hours before picking up your package. Students must show their Shield Card in order to pick up packages.

What if I have a large or heavy package delivered to me?

Students may use one of our hand trucks or carts to transport large packages to their dorm or apartment. A photo ID (Shield Card, Driver’s License, etc.) will need to be held by Mailing Services staff until the hand truck is returned.

An email notification will be sent to the student, informing them of a perishable item arriving in their name. Students are asked to pick up any perishable delivery within 48 hours. If sending perishable items, please remember to mark the outside of the package. Please keep in mind that we do not have an area to store perishable items.
