All of the classes in our Children’s Aquatics programs are created to help children become comfortable and confident in the water. Our goal is not only to teach children the basic skills and strokes of swimming but also how to be safe in and around the water. We have a variety of classes and aim to serve all levels of swimmers, from babies to teens. Please see the individual class descriptions below for details. Please contact Kristin Carrillo at swim@sbts.edu with any questions.
Swim Lessons are created to help children become comfortable and confident in the water. Our goal is not only to teach children the basic skills and strokes of swimming, but also how to be safe in and around the water. A swim test will be given the last day of class to assess progress.
Southern’s Children’s Department programs are limited to Southern affiliates. Although we have enjoyed serving those in the Louisville area, as our numbers grow we must hold fast to our mission of serving the seminary community as they prepare for ministry. By instituting this new policy we will be able to use our resources to more effectively reach this goal.
If you have questions or concerns please contact Becca Howell at bhowell@sbts.edu or you may contact the Health and Rec. Center by phone at 502-897-4720.
