The apostille process consists of local and state government certification of a notarized affidavit of an SBTS diploma or transcript. 

An apostille is only valid in countries that are signatories of the Hague Convention.  For countries that are not signatories, the requestor is responsible for obtaining further certification from the U.S. Department of State.

The fee for authentication of a single transcript OR diploma is $30.  Please add $10 per additional document to cover the fees from Jefferson County Clerk (JCC) and Kentucky Department of State (KYDOS).

  • Print SBTS diploma or transcript
  • Notarization of affidavit certifying the authenticity of SBTS diploma or transcript.
  • Fee from JCC.
  • Fee from KYDOS.
  • Postage to and from KYDOS.
