The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
- Be an example in word and deed (Col. 3:17). Be a model for peers through church participation, devotions, relationships, personal habits, and attitudes
- Be proactive in developing discipleship and accountability relationships with Resident Assistants and on-campus residents
- Assist Resident Assistants in planning, hosting, and organizing events
- Be thoroughly familiar with the rules and regulations that govern the students at SBTS and Boyce College
- Help communicate and promote Residence Life events
- Maintain and balance budget for Residence Life account
- Provide emergency response as pertains to on-campus residents
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct Resident Assistant training two times per year
- Conduct regular meetings with Resident Assistants in order to plan events, assess performance, and provide training
- Report any significant needs and concerns related to the spiritual, emotional, and practical well-being of residents to the Assistant Manager of Student Housing
- Work with the Student Housing Office to maintain the cleanliness and order of on-campus residence halls and apartments
- Assist Student Housing with Preview Day and Orientation Day activities
