Noted political scientist and scholar Dr. Hadley Arkes will be the featured speaker for this year’s installment of the Norton Lectures.

Dr. Arkes is Edward N. Ney Professor of Jurisprudence and American Institutions emeritus at Amherst College and founding director of the James Wilson Institute on Natural Rights and the American Founding. He has written numerous books, including Mere Natural Law, First Things: An Inquiry into the First Principles of Morals and Justice, and Natural Rights and the Right to Choose.
The theme is “The Pervasive Moral Logic of the Law: A Reawakening.” There will be three lectures starting 4pm October 8th and 10 AM and 4 PM October 9th in Heritage Hall.
The first 40 attendees at each lecture will receive a free book, and refreshments will be provided!
