Professional Doctoral Studies students are required to be on campus for 1-2 week seminars during the Winter and Summer terms.

James P. Boyce Centennial Library


The library at Southern Seminary is one of the world’s largest theological libraries. It is the home of 1,000,000 items including 388,000 volumes. All Southern Seminary students have full access to library resources, including library lending and access to online resources for research. The campus bookstore offers a wide range of academic books and resources available.

On-campus Conveniences

Health and Recreation Center

The HRC offers a fitness room, indoor track,  racquetball and basketball courts, a large indoor pool, a hot tub, and locker rooms with showers, a steam room, and a sauna. The fitness room provides a total workout combining cardio equipment, free weights and an array of weight machines.

The Legacy Hotel and Conference Center

The Legacy Hotel has 70 well-appointed guestrooms with some great amenities. Be sure to ask for their student rates when you come for your seminars!

Founders Café

Grab a bite to eat or a latte by the fireplace. Study, email, or just take a break. Founders Café is a great place to eat, socialize, or both. Founders Café has an assortment of snacks, drinks, freshly made sandwiches, and treats.

Dining Hall
