Discipleship and Christian Education
The Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Educational Ministry in Discipleship and Christian Education are designed for Christian educators and those leading ministries to children, youth, students, adults, and women. In this interdisciplinary program, students will consider effective pedagogical and discipleship strategies in light of various contemporary issues.
The call to make disciples is a call to pursue the best strategies and wisdom for fulfilling the Great Commission. The Discipleship and Christian Education concentration equips pastors and Christian educators to pursue excellence in the ministry of discipleship by exploring key issues in learning, apologetics, and worldview development.
This program of study is offered as a 32 Hour D.Min. degree.
Course curriculum includes:
- Project Methodology (1 hour)
- Intro to Doctoral Research & Writing (1 hour)
- Four Foundational Seminars (16 hours)
- 80810: Christian Education and Pedagogy
- 80803: Biblical and Contemporary Models of Christian Leadership
- 80341: Contemporary Issues in Ethics
- 80801: Theological and Philosophical Issues in Educational Discipleship
- Contextualized Writing Seminars (8 hours)
- Ministry Research Project or Thesis (6 hours)
This program of study is also offered as a 46 Hour D.Ed.Min. degree.
