Seminary School of the Arts

The Seminary School of the Arts offers music education to the Louisville community through private lessons, ensembles, and special focused classes.

Hosted on the beautiful campus of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in the Billy Graham School, the Seminary School of the Arts is proud to offer a unique perspective on music education.

Types of lessons SSA offers: Violin, Piano, Voice, Cello, Drums, Guitar, Bass, Organ and Art Classes.

Please complete a registration form for each individual student, one form for each instrument or class/ensemble the student will be taking.

Teacher Requested
Teacher requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. If no teacher is requested, the Director of SSA will arrange placement on your behalf.

Please note: SSA instructors are not permitted to provide private instruction to a minor-aged student (under age 18) without an accompanying adult present at all times.
Lesson Instrument or Art Class:
Please tell us whether you want to take the Art Class or which type of instrument you want to learn. **Art class is for grades 1-8th only.

Parents of SSE students are required to stay in the designated waiting areas of Cooke Hall for the duration of the sessions. Under no circumstances should a parent leave the immediate Cooke Hall area after having dropped off a a child for an SSE rehearsal.

I have read the School of the Arts (SSA) Policies and Information and agree to abide by them. I agree to accept responsibility for tuition and fees due. I do hereby release, discharge, and covenant to hold harmless the instructors and staff of SSA, SBTS, its actions and causes of action present or furture on account of any injuries (including illness) to my person or property or that of my minor child, arising out of or in connection with our participation in SSA activies or the use of the property and facilities of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I agree that any injury or accident that occurs because of my or my child's violations of SSA policies shall be solely the responsibility of the student or his or her parent(s) or guardian (s). I allow the SSA and the SBTS to use any photos, audio recordings, and/or video recordings of the above-registered student taken at a school-sponsored function for promotional or other purposes.
