Welcome to Koinonia
Koinonia is a fellowship event for all women of the Southern community. We hope you will build the kind of relationships with other women during your time here that will last long into the future, wherever the Lord may take you.
This year’s theme for Koinonia is Welcome. The fellowship at each event will seek to encourage women in the current season they find themselves in, whether that is the home, the office, or the classroom. The events are free and include refreshments, door prizes, time for meeting others, and a program in which faculty wives and other experienced women invest in you.
Koinonia events will be located in Heritage Hall on the following dates:
1. Tuesday, August 18th from 7pm-9pm: “Welcome to Louisville, Welcome to Southern.” Join us for an evening of ice cream, fellowship, interaction with our faculty wives and the opportunity to hear from our very own Mrs. Mohler.
2. Tuesday, November 3rd from 7pm-9pm: ‘Welcoming Others Into Your Home: Creative Ways to Share Christ During the Holiday Season.” Join us as we learn creative ways to use hospitality for evangelism during the holidays.
3. Tuesday, February 16th from 7pm-9pm: “Welcome to Women’s Ministry.” Join us to hear different tips from seasoned women’s ministry leaders on topics from children’s ministry to discipleship and event planning!
4. Tuesday, March 29th from 7pm-9pm: “Welcome to Spring.” Join us for a spring craft night and dessert at the Mohler’s home!
All ladies affiliated with Southern are welcome– including grad and undergrad students, student wives, staff, and faculty wives. Please put these dates in your calendar and be sure to join us.
