12) How can I see what classes I have taken at a previous institution transfer into SBTS/Boyce?

  • Students can see what courses from a previous institution will transfer into SBTS/Boyce by accessing our TES database. This database allows students to search their previous institution and courses to see what they would transfer in as at SBTS/Boyce.
  • If a student’s previous institution or course is not recorded in TES, that means it has not been evaluated for transfer credit at SBTS/Boyce before.  Students may then send the syllabus for each course the student would like to be considered for transfer credit to the transfer credit specialist at transfercredit@sbts.edu.

13) How can I transfer credit from another institution?

  • For all NEW transfer students, once your send your previous institution’s transcript to the Admissions office, please notify them that you would like a transfer credit evaluation.  The Admissions office will set up a transfer credit request packet with your transcript and TES report (if possible; see explanation in previous FAQ) for the transfer credit specialist.  The transfer credit specialist will begin your transfer credit evaluation and notify you if anything further is required for the evaluation (i.e. syllabi for courses not in TES) and when your transfer credit evaluation is complete.
  • For all CURRENT students, the student will need to submit a TES excel report and an official transcript with grades and credit hours for each course considered for transfer credit. Students can see what courses from a previous institution will transfer into SBTS/Boyce by accessing our TES database. To submit a TES excel report, please select the courses you would like to transfer from your previous institution in TES by clicking the box to the right of the course.  When you are done selecting your course(s), click ‘Add/View My List’ at the top of the page. • For current students, who have already submitted an official transcript to SBTS/Boyce, please contact the transfer credit specialist to have that transcript obtained from the Admissions office.
