JOB FUNCTIONS

The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:

  • Initiate and execute off-campus meetings with school administrators, guidance counselors, and cooperating teachers to develop Dual Enrollment and TEP partnerships in conjunction with the TEP Chair.
  • Recruit Dual Enrollment students and partnerships schools at homeschooling conferences and other events, working collaboratively with the Office of Admissions (requires some travel).
  • Plan, orchestrate, and participate in admissions and orientation activities for prospective and incoming Dual Enrollment and TEP students.
  • Develop recruitment strategies in conjunction with the Office of Admissions and Teacher Education (TEP) Chair in order to broaden the dual enrollment and TEP recruitment network.
  • Monitor Dual Enrollment partnership student applications, enrollment, and billing.
  • Perform administrative tasks for the Dual Enrollment and Teacher Education programs including ordering program materials and books, copying, preparing for meetings, filing, and processing payments.
  • Manage all communications related to the programs, including: academic catalogs, flyers, brochures, and designated email accounts.
  • Manage Boyce College‚Äôs Watermark administrator account, including: course set up, student roster imports, clinical experience, teacher data import, and site place details.
  • Generate reports for the SACS yearly report or as directed by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and assign in on- and off-campus orientation for cooperating teachers and students including Watermark regarding the requirements of the student teaching semester, which occur after regular school hours.
  • Coordinate and participate in TEP student admissions interviews, as needed.
  • Maintain Boyce College records in compliance with the Kentucky Department of Education and the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) and Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
  • Serve as liaison between the TEP Chair, other departments on campus, and all dual enrollment students and teacher candidates.
  • Assist in budget management for Dual Enrollment and the Teacher Education Program.
  • Maintain all files for accreditation, which includes collecting data and creating reports for the Kentucky state certification process and the national certification process, CAEP.
  • Maintain student records for Dual Enrollment and the progression of folders for each teacher candidate in the Teacher Education Program.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or the Dean/SVP.
