JOB FUNCTIONS

The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:

  • Obtain and maintain the necessary skills and certifications to efficiently and safely carry out job responsibilities and requirements
  • Be prepared and available to be an instructor in the program area
  • Provide in-service training for program personnel
  • Make equipment/facility reservation requests and equipment purchasing requests to the Director
  • Promote and provide users with information concerning Health and Recreation Center activities and programming
  • Perform initial interviews for the hiring of instructors and make recommendations to the Director for follow-up interviews
  • Explain and enforce Health and Recreation Center policies and procedures when necessary
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Clean, organize, and inventory program equipment and area
  • Participate in housekeeping program of the Health and Recreation Center as assigned
  • Administer promotion, registration, and session totals to be submitted to Director each month for all programs
  • Opportunities to instruct all programs with options to recruit head instructor for programs
  • Responsible for all program sessions in the absence of staff
  • Responsible for number of copies made for each program to be submitted to Director each month
  • Administer promotion, registration and session totals to be submitted to Director each month

Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
