JOB FUNCTIONS

The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:

  • Provide leadership to the alumni initiatives and be responsible for their implementation
  • Promote the “Southern For Life” brand through existing and newly developed channels
  • Develop and maintain a vibrant, on campus Southern For Life Alumni Center as a hub for alumni visiting the campus for conferences, campus visits, events
  • Keep informed of alumni serving in denominational offices, key churches and strategic roles for partnerships
  • Recruit and equip regional “Alumni Ambassadors” to use their influence to strengthen institutional relationships
  • Represent SBTS at strategic local church, denomination, academic society, and ministry oriented events
  • Generate a dynamic communication strategy
  • Maximize conference connections, traveling as needed to ensure a “Southern For Life” connecting point at all SBTS booths, state conventions and primary conferences (SBC, KBC, T4G, & TGC)
  • Oversee website and development
  • Partner with Student Life to develop and execute The Southern Way, “day one experience” for students
  • Partner with Ministry Connections office to maximize the placement opportunities for graduates
  • Partner with Academic Services to promote and host the Alumni Academy and Ministry Apprenticeship Program

Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
