If you want to strengthen your understanding of the relationship between the Old and the New Testament, and grow in your comprehension of the storyline of the Scriptures, or explore contemporary issues in Biblical Theology,  then the Ph.D. in Biblical Theology is for you.

Incoming Ph.D. students are matched with a supervisor from our world-class faculty who shares their research interests. Professors who can supervise students in this area are:

 

This degree requires two Biblical Theology seminars: 1) History of Biblical Theology; and 2) Methods in Biblical Theology. Students will then take three other seminars, choosing from New Testament seminars, Old Testament seminars, and Systematic Theology seminars to complete their major.

The student will also need to complete three seminars in their minor (5 seminars in major; 3 minor)

The colloquia for this concentration will meet separately from other concentrations.
