Entrance Exams
Entrance Exams are exams designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate their comprehension of the subject area in which they are applying. Students will be notified soon after the application deadline as to whether they are invited to participate in the field essay and interview.
For the School of Theology and Billy Graham School applicants, the essay will include two different writing periods. The first is a two hour essay exam in your Ph.D. subject area. Then, the second is a 45 minute general essay in which everyone will answer the same question. For the School of Church Ministries, there is only one essay, which you will answer in a four hour period.
The following links provide study guides that are intended to help students prepare for the entrance exam in their subject area. These study guides are subject to change for each application cycle.
While some study guides simply contain recommended tools for exam preparation, others contain required reading or other essential information. These study guides are the best resource available on how to prepare for the entrance exam.
