the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

New, Flexible Way to Complete Your Degree from a Distance

At The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, we care too much about your real-life ministry to shortchange you with virtual preparation. But we also know that not everyone can move to Louisville. That’s why we’ve created Hybrid Modular courses that allow online students to earn one year of on-campus credit with only two eight-day terms on campus! Hybrid modular weeks place you in intensive learning communities with a world-class theological faculty at our historic campus without requiring you to relocate.

How Does This Work?

Now, via the Hybrid Modular offerings, you can earn your required on-campus hours for a Master’s degree in only two 8 day segments (16 days total)!  The remainder of your Master’s degree may be earned through online courses, extension centers, or at the Southern Seminary campus in Louisville.  So, completing your Master’s program at Southern has never been more accessible than via these Hybrid Modular courses!

When will the on-campus meetings happen?

The on-campus sessions for the Spring and Fall Hybrid Modular weeks are held between the Wednesday of the semester break through to the following Wednesday. Winter and Summer Hybrid Modular weeks will also occur Wednesday to Wednesday as well with dates found in in Moodle  or on this Hybrid Modular Course page.
