You are asked to review and either accept or not accept the terms of this agreement within the specified timeframe. A hold may be placed on your account if it is not received according to the instructions.
For your future reference, you may print the text of this agreement. Your acceptance of the terms of this user agreement is required to receive credit for an online course.
Student User Agreement:
This Student User Agreement “SUA” is a binding agreement between you and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Kentucky corporation, “SBTS” concerning the content of all Southern Seminary Online “SSO” courses. This includes contents of courses lectures in CD, DVD or streamed formats as well as additional video or audio files, printed material, web-based delivery systems/servers and/or any other present or future delivery technologies.
Copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties protect the content of SSO courses. It is also protected by specific “Work for Hire” agreements designed by SBTS.
If you are an admitted and registered student, you and only you may access, display and otherwise interact with the content of the specific SSO course(s). Refer to the seminary catalog for information concerning admissions and registration. You may not share or lend the course content.
You may download those portions of the course content as directed by the course administrator. You may make printed copies of these downloadable content items for your personal course work only. You may not make additional copies of any video lectures, video/audio tapes, or other present & future technological course supplements.
You recognize that all course supplements including CDs, DVDs, video and audio tapes, including present or future technological supplements remain the property of SBTS and will be returned to the seminary by an assigned date at the end of the specific course’s semester or immediately if the course is dropped.
You understand that there is an internet fee of $250 per SSO course*, paid in addition to normal per hour tuition costs. This fee is 100% nonrefundable if the course is dropped after the date posted by Academic Records.

This completed SUA must be submitted within one month of the first day of class.
*The $250 internet fee is waived for the online Elementary Greek and Hebrew courses as well as Written Communication.
