ILC Travel Information

The International Centre for Excellence in Leadership (ICEL) is located at the International Learning Center (ILC) near Richmond, Virginia.

The International Learning Center is located on the far west end of Richmond, Virginia. The 238 acre campus with 44 buildings can accommodate up to 600 people at a time. For the IMB, it provides multiple programs for missionaries and IMB partners.

Housing Information

Housing will be in either a hotel-type facility or quads (building with four apartments). Each apartment or hotel-type room has its own bath. Based on the number of participants, we cannot guarantee private rooms. Please indicate preferences on the registration form.

Travel Arrangements

Conference participants often use the following airports:

  • Richmond International Airport, (RIC) which is approximately 45 minutes from ILC. There is van service through Groome Transportation (804-222-7222).
  • Washington, DC, Reagan Airport (DCA) is approximately 2 hours and Washington Dulles (IAD) is approximately 2.5 hours from ILC (time may be longer depending on traffic). There is no shuttle service.
  • Baltimore-Washington (BWI) is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours from ILC. There is no shuttle service.
  • Norfolk, VA, International (NOR) is approximately 2 hours from ILC. There is no shuttle service.
  • Newport News, VA (PHF) is approximately 1.5 hours from ILC. There is no shuttle service.
