Upcoming MATSIL Courses

SBTS is offering two courses in Penang, Malaysia July 8-12, 2013.  The courses will be taught concurrently and you may register for one or both, depending on your degree requirements.  Both courses are taught by Dr. Tim Beougher.  Dr. Beougher has taught in Asia many times and is prepared to help you think through issues related to evangelism in your specific context.

32100 Personal Evangelism
This class focuses on the theological, historical, and practical outworkings of evangelism.  Attention will be given to evangelistic methods, issues related to the “sinner’s prayer,” and evangelism in a number of religious and cultural contexts.  This class is required for all degree programs at SBTS.  Log in to Moodle or email academicrecords@sbts.edu to register for the class.

32260 Theology of Evangelism
This class examines the practical outworking of the theology relating to evangelism and its methods.  Issues related to the theology of conversion will be of particular interest to those working in cross-cultural settings.  Bring your questions of group conversions, cultural understandings of the atonement, and any other issues you face in your ministry.  This class will count as a MATSIL or general missions elective.  Log in to Moodle or email academicrecords@sbts.edu to register for the class.
