We have created a new page on the MATSIL site containing resources useful for cross-cultural ministry. Click on the ‘Resources’ tab at the top right of the homepage and you’ll be directed to a listing of blogs and websites designed to help you think through issues such as orality, ethnographic and demographic research, contextualization, language study, and so on. These resources will be helpful as you complete MATSIL courses but also hopefully will help you be better communicators of the gospel.

Southern Seminary has developed two new programs geared toward equipping your family and nationals you are working with. Feel free to pass this information along to others you know who may be interested but are not in the MATSIL program both abroad and in the U.S.
The Institute for Christian Leadership
The first program is The Institute for Christian Leadership consisting of 6 core curriculum courses plus a 3-course concentration in a specialized field. This program is for pastors, spouses, and lay leaders with either no college education or who desire further theological training at a reduced cost. We currently have course options in English and Spanish and are working to develop the program in other languages. All courses are completed online in a discussion forum style. Online Graduate Certificates
The second program available is The Online Graduate Certificate program. This program consists of choosing one of ten different concentrations, each requiring 5 courses. The certificate is designed to strengthen your spouse or local believers in the desired area to enhance teaching credentials, pastoring skill, or to gain confidence in scriptural study. The courses are full seminary courses and are transferable into a degree program from SBTS. You must have a college degree from an accredited school to be eligible.
