Can you see yourself at Southern Seminary? Come take in the scene at one of our Scene@Southern Preview Weekends and find out! The weekend will allow you all the conveniences of a personal campus visit, plus the benefit of a power packed weekend!
Scene@Southern allows us to roll out the “red carpet” for our guests to get a first hand look at our seminary in action. From hearing the testimonies of our students and listening to professors in the classroom, you will be greatly encouraged to see how we are attempting to do all things for the glory of God.
In addition to chapel and classroom attendance on Thursday, you will have opportunity to benefit from very practical information sessions with ample time for questions and interaction.
Students will volunteer their homes for you to see what campus housing looks like and you can have a tour with a well-trained guide to explain the history and heritage of our school. Dr. Mohler, the administration, and faculty all make themselves available at these special times in our semester as we celebrate God’s call on your life. Besides gaining helpful information about degree program and practical issues, we will worship and pray together as we seek to honor the Lord in our obedience to Him.
A dessert reception at Dr. Mohler’s home, some worshipful and practical seminars, and our semi-annual Family Fun Day Picnic make this an opportunity to encourage the heart. A nominal fee of $25 per person secures your reservation and takes care of lodging for Thursday and Friday night as well as all meals from Thursday night to our Saturday afternoon picnic. Sign up below and join us for some Southern hospitality!
Contact the Admissions Office at 1-800-626-5525 ext. 4617 with additional questions.

I just finished reading and signing The Manhattan Declaration (MD), and I urge you to do the same. The Manhattan Declaration is a document affirming the sanctity of human life, the sanctity of marriage, and the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
Is The New York Times trying to tell us something? Just eleven days after running a story on gender-bending teenagers on the front page of its “Style” section, the paper is back with yet another front page story in the same section, this time on gender-bending young adults. The articles even cite the same psychologist as authority. What’s going on here?
Any civilization requires a stable, rational, and consensual moral framework in order to survive. Western civilization has been built on a framework of Christian morality, with the so-called “Judeo-Christian ethic” providing the moral principles that support laws, ethical reasoning, and moral impulses.
I mentioned yesterday that I am in New Orleans this week to deliver a paper on homosexuality at the Evangelical Theological Society. Yesterday I came across an article that relates to the subject matter of that paper.
