When you visit us in person, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly Admissions staff who can answer any questions you may have about our degree programs, employment opportunities, financial aid, and family life.
You’ll get the chance to interact with other students and our world-class faculty, sit in on current courses, take a guided tour of our 70-acre campus, and even sample our Southern cuisine-all amid a unique environment of believers committed to Christ.
If you do choose to visit us, we recommend that you participate in scheduled activities. Chapel meets on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10:00am. Your visit will only be enhanced by experiencing seminary life as one of our students.

Scene@Southern (Preview Weekend) is another wonderful opportunity to visit our campus. This weekend coordinates everything of interest to prospective students into an informative conference that is both worshipful and enjoyable. Our Preview Weekend guests also enjoy the opportunity for extended interaction with Dr. Mohler and our renowned faculty.
A special opportunity is available to students during the upcoming winter term. Along with George Martin, Randy Arnett (over 30 years ministry experience in West Africa) and Charles Juma (from East Africa) will be offering the course 33477, “Topics in Missions: Christianity in Africa.” The seminar format class will be offered from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Dec. 14-18. On Friday, Dec. 4, the Church Planting Center will be hosting its annual church planting family banquet from 6-8 p.m. in the President’s Reception Room. You must RSVP by Nov. 24 to attend. The SBTS Student Council will serve coffee and doughnuts to all students from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1. Come by the lobby of 5th and Broadway early to pick up your free Blue Book for you final exam. The event is sponsored by the Seminary Student Council.
Any civilization requires a stable, rational, and consensual moral framework in order to survive. Western civilization has been built on a framework of Christian morality, with the so-called “Judeo-Christian ethic” providing the moral principles that support laws, ethical reasoning, and moral impulses.
I mentioned yesterday that I am in New Orleans this week to deliver a paper on homosexuality at the Evangelical Theological Society. Yesterday I came across an article that relates to the subject matter of that paper.
In all likelihood, most people would never even imagine a cartoon version of Genesis. Nevertheless, the cartoon version has arrived, and it is attracting no small amount of attention. The Book of Genesis Illustrated is by famed cartoonist R. Crumb. Famous among cartoonists for his work as far back as the 1960s, Crumb has always combined cartoons and a social/political agenda.
There are certain moments in life that you never forget—those indelible moments that fix themselves in memory, sometimes for happy reasons, and sometimes for not so happy reasons. I had such a moment in the latter category when I was in the 8th grade.
