In 1999, William Cutrer became the first medical doctor to join the faculty of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Cutrer received his M.D. from the University of Kentucky and served as a resident at Baylor University Medical Center. After a successful medical career as an obstetrician/gynecologist, he served as a senior pastor in Texas and earned a Master of Arts degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has been a guest lecturer at numerous colleges, churches, and other institutions. In addition, he has held conferences on various topics, including marriage enrichment, bioethics, and wellness lifestyles. Dr. Cutrer has authored or coauthored several books, including Sexual Intimacy in Marriage, The Infertility Companion, The Contraception Guidebook, and The Church Leader’s Handbook: A Guide to Counseling Families and Individuals in Crisis.
