Comprehensive examinations corresponding to the student’s areas of study are administered at the conclusion of the student’s coursework. Most students take three comprehensive examinations; biblical studies majors may take four.

Doctoral Development Scholarship
The Doctoral Development Scholarship assists students in participating in academic conferences.
The Research Doctoral Studies Office is excited to announce the creation of the Doctoral Development Scholarship, which is currently available to Ph.D., Ed.D., and D.Miss. students. In an effort to encourage excellence in scholarship and promote academic engagement, the Research Doctoral Studies Office will award scholarships to students who present papers at major academic conferences.
The new scholarships will be available two times per year—Fall and Spring semesters. The specific amount awarded will vary based on the number of successful applicants. Applications are due to Norton 157 no later than 4:30 pm on March 9th for the Spring term.
