Biblical Counseling

The Doctor of Ministry and the Doctor of Educational Ministry in Biblical Counseling is designed to equip ministry professionals for leadership in ministering and counseling from a biblical foundation. Specifically, the degree is designed for congregational ministers and leaders who serve in counseling roles.

Program of Study

This program of study is offered as a 32 Hour D.Min. degree.

Course curriculum includes:

  • Project Methodology (1 hour)
  • Intro to Doctoral Research & Writing (1 hour)
  • Four Foundational Seminars (16 hours)
    • Introduction to Biblical Counseling
    • Methodology of Biblical Counseling
    • Problems and Procedures of Biblical Counseling
    • Marriage and Family Counseling
  • Contextualized Writing Seminars (8 hours)
  • Ministry Research Project or Thesis (6 hours)

This program of study is also offered as a 46 Hour D.Ed.Min. degree.

Course curriculum includes:

  • Intro to Doctoral Research & Writing (1 hour)
  • Four Foundational Seminars (16 hours)
    • Introduction to Biblical Counseling
    • Methodology of Biblical Counseling

    • Applied Empirical Research
    • Foundations of Teaching
  • Contextualized Writing Seminars (8 hours)
