Rec Center

The Health and Recreation Center offers a fitness room, 1/12 mile indoor track, three racquetball courts, two basketball courts, a large indoor pool, a hot tub, and locker rooms with showers, a steam room, and a sauna. The fitness room provides a total workout combining cardio equipment, free weights and an array of weight machines.

Library

James P. Boyce Centennial Library is one of the world’s largest theological libraries. The James P. Boyce Centennial Library is the home of 1,000,000 items including 388,000 volumes.

Campus Bookstore

The LifeWay Campus Bookstore is operated by LifeWay Christian Resources. There is a wide range of academic books and resources available.

Fifth & Broadway Convenience Store

Fifth and Broadway has more than just seminary sweatshirts, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and other paraphernalia. It also has some of the essentials of a convenience store you may want while you’re here on campus.

Founders Café

Grab a bite to eat or a latte by the fireplace. Study, email, or just take a break. Founders Café is a great place to eat, socialize, or both. Founders Café has an assortment of snacks, drinks, freshly made sandwiches, and treats.

Vox Pop informational meeting

Vox Pop will be hosting an informational meeting at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10 in Honeycutt 222/224. Vox Pop exists to educate and equip Southern Seminary students to be well-rounded ministers of the Gospel by raising awareness of social justice and human suffering around the world as they relate to gospel witness. Red Cross Blood Drive at SBTS

The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive on Southern Seminary’s campus from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11 in Levering Gym. Donors of all blood types are needed. All participants are required to show either a Blood Donor Card or picture ID. (more…)

I still remember the first time I heard my now wife’s name, “Maria Hanna,” mentioned in conversation. I had no idea how she would live up to her name. Hannah, after all, was a weeping, trusting woman, who longed for the blessing of children…and who longed to see her children bless the Lord. Her faith brought about the prophetic voice (Samuel) through whom God would give us the house of David, the line of our Lord Jesus.
