Urban Ministry
Are you working among the population of one of the world’s rapidly growing urban centers? Has God called you to a city, with all the unique challenges and opportunities such a mission presents? Half of the global population now lives in cities, and the number of cities with over a million in population grows every year. The D.Min in Urban Ministry is designed to prepare you for service in the urban context or help you gain a deeper understanding of ministry in the city.

- Biblical and Theological Issues in Urban Ministry
- Community Development and Urban Ministry
- Intercultural Issues in Urban Ministry
- Current Issues in Urban Ministry
- Applied Ministry Experience (8 hours)
- Research Project and Methodology (8 hours)
Learning Outcomes
- Students will be able to demonstrate an advanced understanding and integration of ministry into various theological disciplines.
- Students will be able to demonstrate applied knowledge & skills pertinent to his/her vocational ministry.
- Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to use standard research tools and methods in the chosen field of study.
- Students will be able to research, plan, and implement a project relevant to his/her vocational ministry and to communicate the plan and its results effectively.
- Students will be able to contribute to the understanding and practice of ministry through the completion of a written project report suitable for inclusion in the seminary library.
