Ministry Field Essays

All D.Min. and D.Ed.Min. applicants must complete a ministry field essay.  This is simply a 750-1000 word research essay answering specific questions pertaining to the desired D.Min. or D.Ed.Min. concentration. The essay will be graded by a program coordinator and is an essential part of the application process.

To begin, simply download or print the field essay instructions of the concentration for which you are applying and follow the instructions carefully.  Submit your completed essay to the Admissions Office via email at admissions@sbts.edu with your name and “Professional Doctoral Studies Field Essay” in the subject line.

All ministry field essays will be graded using the Field Essay Assessment Rubric.
