Bible Translators in Training

Bible Translators in Training

Thank God that He has spoken! Now, for the sake of the liberating, life-giving gospel, the Bible must be translated. God may be calling you to leave the legacy of His Word in the heart language of another people.

Purpose

The mission of Bible Translators in Training is threefold:
1. To raise awareness of the need for Bible translation across the world.
2. To provide students with opportunities to become involved in the work of translation while at Southern/Boyce.
3. To encourage Southern/Boyce students to consider putting the language and theology training they receive to use as translators for Bible-less languages.

Activities

Monthly meetings and semester lectures by scholars and missionaries in fields relevant to the task of Bible translation.

And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, the word which is able to build you up and give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.    Acts 20:32

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
