the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

SBTS Residence Life

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is represented by students of 41 different countries and all 50 states in the continental United States. Though ethnically and culturally diverse, there is unity in Christ. As servants of Christ, the Residence Life Team strives to maintain the unity of the Spirit by daily living out Christ’s example of sacrificial love. The vision of the Residence Life Program is a seminary community where residents and families experience mutual sanctification, encouragement and spiritual refinement through regular Christian fellowship. The Residence Life Program, much like the Seminary, is not intended to replace the local church; rather, it exists to complement the local church. The Residence Life Program seeks to encourage and facilitate communal fellowship among residents by means of: intentional pursuit, “Southern” hospitality, servant-leadership and community-based activities.
