From orientation to graduation, The Center for Student Success is your source for academic and personal support at Southern Seminary.

We believe that every Southern student is capable of academic achievement. However, we also understand that the road to graduation is not always smooth and there are challenges that make earning a degree difficult. The Center for Student Success is committed to help students navigate through these challenges and progress toward completing their degree. Our office provides support for students in the following areas:

Academic Advising – Students can discuss their academic goals with an advisor and plan their class schedules. Phone advising is available for off-campus students. Our office also provides advanced placement exams and processes course substitutions.

The Writing Center – Students can receive writing assistance and improve their academic writing skills with writing staff members. Questions and papers can be submitted to The Writing Center for review.

International Student Services – International Students can meet with an advisor for admission, immigration and cross-cultural adjustment–related questions.

Assistance for Students with Disabilities – Students with disabilities can meet with an advisor and work together with our office to ensure that their needs are met.

Ministry Connections – Students looking for ministry opportunities and churches/ministry organizations looking to fill positions can access our Ministry Connections network. Students can also meet with our Ministry Connections specialist for advising.
