Mon, 6:30-7:15 am and Wed/Fri, 8-8:45 am: A total body workout designed to get you moving and excited about exercising! This is a great class for all fitness levels!
Mon/Wed/Fri, 10-11 am: This class is designed to be fun for mom and kids! It’s a great time of cardio and strength training, as well as a great social time for everyone!
Tue/Thu, 4:45-5:45 pm: A mixture of Pilates, Aerobics, and Strength Training, this class combines the best of aerobics for those who want to have a balanced, strong body.
Tues/Thurs, 8-9 pm: A very energetic cardio workout designed to get you moving while having a lot of fun!
Tue/Thu, 5-5:45 pm: Easy on the joints, this aqua class will get your heart rate up and your muscles toned and fit! Come and have a fun water workout!
For those that enjoy exercising outside we have plotted a 1 mile walking tour, a 1 mile course, a 2 mile course, & a 5K course.
The fitness room provides a total workout combining cardio equipment, free weights and an array of weight machines. Members may use the fitness room after completing a brief orientation. The Health and Recreation Center offers a 1/12 mile indoor track, three racquetball courts, two basketball courts, a large indoor pool, two children’s pools, a hot tub, and locker rooms with showers, a steam room, and a sauna. For your convenience, the Center offers locker rental and towel service. Locker rentals range from $10-$25/semester depending on the size. Towel service may be purchased for $15/semester for a single or $35/semester for a family.
A special opportunity is available to students during the upcoming winter term. Along with George Martin, Randy Arnett (over 30 years ministry experience in West Africa) and Charles Juma (from East Africa) will be offering the course 33477, “Topics in Missions: Christianity in Africa.” The seminar format class will be offered from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Dec. 14-18. The SBTS Student Council will serve coffee and doughnuts to all students from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1. Come by the lobby of 5th and Broadway early to pick up your free Blue Book for you final exam. The event is sponsored by the Seminary Student Council.
I just finished reading and signing The Manhattan Declaration (MD), and I urge you to do the same. The Manhattan Declaration is a document affirming the sanctity of human life, the sanctity of marriage, and the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
Is The New York Times trying to tell us something? Just eleven days after running a story on gender-bending teenagers on the front page of its “Style” section, the paper is back with yet another front page story in the same section, this time on gender-bending young adults. The articles even cite the same psychologist as authority. What’s going on here?
Any civilization requires a stable, rational, and consensual moral framework in order to survive. Western civilization has been built on a framework of Christian morality, with the so-called “Judeo-Christian ethic” providing the moral principles that support laws, ethical reasoning, and moral impulses.
I mentioned yesterday that I am in New Orleans this week to deliver a paper on homosexuality at the Evangelical Theological Society. Yesterday I came across an article that relates to the subject matter of that paper.
