Basil Manly, Jr. Professor of Leadership and Church Ministry (1996)

Dr. Richardson holds the Basil Manly, Jr. Professor of Church Ministry Endowed Chair at Southern Seminary. He has served in educational church staff positions, as senior pastor, and a nationally known convention speaker. For 24 years he was Professor of Bible, Christian Education and Youth at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, where he also served as Chairman of the Ancient Languages, Biblical Studies, and Philosophy Division.

Dr. Richardson served as president of the North American Professors of Christian Education and serves on the Board of the Youth Ministry Educators’ Forum. He has contributed to the following books; Christian Education: Foundations for the Future, How To Have Real Conversation With Your Teens, Transforming Youth Ministry, The Dictionary of Christian Education, Theological and Historical Foundations for Family Ministry and has written curriculum materials for youth and adults.
