— The — School of Church Ministries

Welcome to the School of Church Ministries! The School of Church Ministries exists to equip God-called individuals for theologically-grounded and skillfully-practiced ministry in associate roles in the local church. If God has called you to any associate ministry role – whether worship leadership or educational ministry, youth ministry or children's ministry, women's leadership or campus ministry – the School of Church Ministries is the place where you will receive the training that you need.

The School of Church Ministries is passionately committed to the Bible as the Word of God and to the Great Commission as a sacred mandate.

Because of this twofold commitment, we are not satisfied merely to equip ministers with leadership theories, musical skills, or knowledge about human learning. Every course in the School of Church Ministries is grounded first in Scripture, then in church history and theology.

Scripture is and will remain the supreme and sufficient standard in all that we teach, while church history and theology equip us to evaluate leadership and discipleship practices in light of our Christian heritage. Although our professors teach the best of leadership skills and educational theories, none of these theories or practices provides the foundation or the focal point for our curriculum.

Professors in the School of Church Ministries shape each student to become practical theologians and skilled expositors of God's Word. Our unapologetic goal is to develop capable leaders whose practices of discipleship, family ministry, and worship leadership are deeply rooted in biblical theology.
