The Human Resources staff is dedicated to providing a full-service function in support of Southern Seminary’s Academic, Administrative, and Support Staffs and their efforts in fulfillment of the Seminary’s Mission Statement.
To this end, Human Resources manages a wide variety of responsibilities such as:
- recruiting,
- publishing an employment opportunities bulletin
- administering employment procedures,
- administering employee transfers in line with policy,
- providing new employee orientation,
- benefits administration,
- policy and procedure guidance/counsel for supervisors,
- wage and salary administration,
- development and implementation of new policies and procedures,
- processing of changes to employee status/personal data,
- resolving complaints involving discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment,
- resolution of employee conflict/problems
- training and self-development programs,
- records retention,
- workers’ compensation,
- liaison with outside vendors, and so on.
