Southern Seminary Online

Technical Issues

Computer pictureSouthern Seminary Online courses are delivered in an asynchronous format. This means that you do not receive live streaming video lectures delivered by the professor. Rather, for most courses, you receive CDs/DVDs containing the lecture material in video segments. These CDs/DVDs, with instructions, are mailed to you before the semester begins.

In addition to the lectures on CDs/DVDs, Southern students registered for online courses access the course syllabus, assignments, handouts, links, grades, announcements, classmates, discussion forums, other vital course information and the office hours and contact information for the course professor via a secure website. These websites are specifically designed for Southern Seminary Online courses and only those registered for a certain course will have access to the course's information.
