Graduation Checklist — December 2008

Please check your SBTS email account for future graduation information. If you do not know your user ID and password, contact Network Services at 1-800-626-5525 ext. 4006 or 502-897-4006.

Sept. 15 APPLICATION TO GRADUATESeptember 15 is the deadline for submitting the “Graduation Application.” Failure to submit the application by the deadline may result in the delay of your graduation until the next semester. The Graduation Application is located in the “My eCampus” section of the eCampus website and is to be filled out and submitted online.

ACADEMIC APPAREL — Rental apparel will be ordered based upon the information you submit on your graduation application. For capsize measurements and information for purchasing your graduation apparel, please contact LifeWay Campus bookstore, 1-800-626-5525, ext. 4506. Apparel will be available for pick-up the Thursday and Friday, December 4-5.

MINISTRY RESOURCES OFFICE — Graduates who will be seeking post-graduation ministry positions are encouraged to establish a graduating senior profile as soon as possible. Visit the Ministry Resources link on the Help Desk tab on Ecampus. Call 502-897-4208, or email ministryresources@sbts.edu with questions.

COMPOSITE PHOTOGRAPH — The graduation composite contains individual pictures of graduates and faculty. Only those who have their picture taken will receive a composite. Men should be dressed in suit and tie, and women should wear Sunday dress. Please contact Student Resources at 502-897-4205 or studentresources@sbts.edu to schedule an appointment. Photos are taken every five minutes.

  GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS —You may order personalized announcements and rings from Herff Jones online.
Oct. 11 ACADEMIC STATUS — Graduation audits are automatically conducted by Academic Records. Students will be notified by student e-mail of the results. All outstanding academic issues excluding those of the current semester but including the completion of all approved transfer of credit, must be resolved by the mid-point of the semester, October 11, or graduation for the semester is void.
Nov. 15 GRADUATION FEE — A graduation fee of $200 will be charged to your student account in October and payment is due by November 15th to avoid late charges. You will NOT be able to view the graduation fee on Ecampus, but it is a required fee for all graduates and must be paid by November 15th. Additionally, all accounts (short-term loans, library fines, copy charges, library books, etc.) must be paid by November 30.
Nov. 21 GRADUATING STUDENT INFORMATION FORM — This online form, which is different than the Graduation Application, must be completed by Friday, November 21. A link to this form will be emailed to your SBTS email account at a later date.
Dec. 3 RSVP FOR PRESIDENT'S RECEPTION — Each semester the President honors graduates and their families with a reception, which is held after the graduation rehearsal. A personal invitation with more information will be mailed to you shortly. Your RSVP should be directed to the Student Resources Office by Wednesday, December 3 with the total number of guests in your party.
Dec. 5 GRADUATION LUNCHEON — Reservations for the Graduation Luncheon must be made by December 5. The Graduation Luncheon will be held on Friday, December 12 following graduation.
Dec. 11 GRADUATION REHEARSAL — Rehearsal is Thursday afternoon, December 11 at 12:45pm. Attendance is required. Students with conflicts should contact the Supervisor of Student Resources, David Schrock (502-897-4205).

PRESIDENT’S RECEPTION —The President’s Reception is held after the graduation rehearsal. The reception will be held in two locations with a shuttle transporting guests. A dessert fellowship will be held in Heritage Hall from 2:30p.m. to 4:30p.m., while Dr. and Mrs. Mohler will host graduates and their families at their home. Recommended dress is coat and tie for men and Sunday dress for women. You will receive an invitation as graduation approaches.
Dec. 12 COMMENCEMENT — Seminary graduation is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 12 in Alumni Chapel and concludes shortly after noon. Guests and family unable to attend may view graduation live on the Faith Channel, channel 19, on local cable.
