Ministers in the MilitaryStudent Leader2LT James Eric Honeycutt, Staff Specialist/Chaplain Candidate, USA
2LT Honeycutt was born 25 June 1984 in Morristown, TN. He has since served as a 1LT and as Squadron Commander in the Civil Air Patrol. During his undergraduate work at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, he actively served in Army ROTC. There he fell in love with the Army and found his calling to serve as a Chaplain. He finished his undergraduate work at Carson-Newman College in December 2007 with a degree in Business Administration. In September 2007 he was given a direct commission as a 2LT in the Inactive Ready Reserve under the Chaplain Candidate Program and the following summer he completed the first six weeks of CH-BOLC in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. In the spring of 2008, 2LT Honeycutt began his graduate work at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. 2LT Honeycutt is currenttly serving in the Army Chaplain Candidate Program. His ultimate desire is to supersede as an active duty Army Chaplain.
