Dr. Scroggins comes to Southern with a wealth of experience in working with young people. He has served as associate pastor and minister to students at churches in Indiana and Kentucky. He currently serves as Associate Pastor for Students and Families at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, where he has served since 1997. He is also Dean of Boyce College, the undergraduate school of the seminary. Dr. Scroggins’ ministry is marked by a strong emphasis on training students, lay-people, and future pastors to do the work of ministry. Under his leadership, students have been sent all over the world to preach the gospel and plant churches. He has a passion to see students involved in fulfilling the Great Commission.
